First 2010 NaPoWriMo Poem
The couplet’s weak and the theme fairly esoteric, but it’s a start. It’s late – I’ll podcast it tomorrow.
Large Hadron Collider
Physicist Michio Kaku: “This is a Genesis machine. It’ll help to recreate the most glorious event in the history of the universe. … From Nature’s point of view, she laughs and says ‘this is a peashooter.’”
When Michio Kaku calls the LHC
“a Genesis machine,” and in the same
breath says it will create black holes, to be
or not to be may seem to be the game
we play – Proverbs 16:18 teaches
that pride goeth before destruction, and
in every tale that man who overreaches
is lucky if he keeps his empty hand,
and Kaku says this beast will recreate
the start of space and time and all creation –
can we be sure we won’t annihilate
the everything that is through such temptation?
But Kaku laughs – “From Nature’s point of view,
this is a peashooter” – shooting at a clue.
